Lawn fever with its all anticipation has came back and ironically thanks to our fashion designers who has added some zesty craziness to it. Moreover lawn producers have extended already lengthy summer in Pakistan, lawn exhibitions started in January, when there were snow falling in some parts of country, and will continue till mid-November. I request these designers to have mercy on people of Pakistan, winter is already short let them enjoy the season properly.
Our fashion designers and models in collaboration of Textile mills have launched their own lawn labels. The recent boom of lawn exhibitions and collections has provided opportunity to these celebs to reach to masses. Do not forget these designer lawn prints are highly expensive.
I have been mulling over a lot about latest summer 2012 fashion trends, so what exactly is Pakistani summer fashion. I am completely baffled because every designer has introduced their own version of fashion trends. Let’s start from Asim Jofa, HSY and Firduos lawn, we have seen their models wearing very long shirt with churidar, while Maria B paired long shirts with both trousers and churidars. Rizwan Baig, Kamiar Rokni and Gul Ahmed, they all came up with mismatch fashion trends of both long and short shirts paired up with Churidar, Shalwars, and trousers. Pakistani Fashion is stagnant for many years as we have seen long shirts stayed for quite. Though there has been variety in lowers, first there were trousers then came churidaars. So now it is right time to enjoy some change, as Coco Chenel rightly said, “Fashion is made to become unfashionable.” So this summer is all about your own choices you can follow any fashion trend you like. At least, this summer you are free from fear of looking dowdy and old-fashioned. As long as I am concerned, I am going for short shirts with narrow Paincha Shalwers, which will look chic and fresh. It better to be different, it makes you stand out from the rest of crowd.
