FPW3 Kuki Concepts at Pakistan Fashion Week 2012 (FPW) Day2

Kuki Concepts by Zahid Bashir presented his collection entitled “Uns” (Love) on second day of third Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) 2012. He opened his show with a short film explaning the handing-down of heirloom. From benarasi, jamawars, to jamdani silks, Zahid has used only antique fabrics in this collection as old as 50 to 100 years. He created a line of traditional clothing with any grandiose embellishment from rani coats, kaftans, jackets to sherwanis, everything was appropriate for a wedding. ‘Uns’ Maharaja-era inspired menswear and women’s wear was simple, graceful and timeless. By creating such elegant dresses from vintage clothing demonstrates designer’s ability to create royal collection out of ancient fabric. Kuki Concepts rocked second day of Fashion Pakistan Week 2012; definitely one of the prize-winners of the night and my personal favourite. You have the idea, now it time to get creative, explore your grandmothers' closets to find all the banasri stuff and make out of it your formal/bridal jora.  Event was organized by Catwalk Production & PR was handled by Catalyst PR & Marketing.
