Amean J whose real name is Amin Jan Mohammed is a famous Pakistani Canadian Fashion photographer, who occupied a prominent place in the Pakistani fashion industry. His photographs are distinctive and one of its kind. He did BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art,University in San Francisco. After that, he got the degree of MA in Media, Culture & Technology from the University of Luton/Bedfordshire (UK). Amean J was honored to study under great names like Henry Horenstein RISD, Ken Light and Michael Kolster & assisted others like Dilip Mehta. His work has been featured in various publications like the New Yorker , Colors, Herald, Newsline and books such as ‘1000 signs’ by Taschen, 'Mazaar Bazaar' by OUP and K'architecture by A BLACK OLIVE. He exhibited his work in different exhibitions like Zoo Blue, Karachi Cityscapes, Moharram and Sand & Water etc.

Amean j opened his studio "18% grey" in 2005, the year he returned to Pakistan. He is not only a photographer but also a director and producer. He directed and produced many music videos. He also delivered lectures on Film making and photography at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, University of Karachi and at Iqra University. Amean j is also a founding member of "The Citizens Archive" of Pakistan and is presently on the advisory board for "KOEL" Gallery.
